All 5 have been released.ĮXoDOS Version 2 - Lottsa great new features. It works with any combination of the packs. If you have other eXoDOS packs, the Setup Meagre.bat file will also decompress their front end assets. This will take some time to decompress as it is approx. This file also decompresses the GamesACT.zip file, which contains all of the manuals, art, and game information for each title. Simply running the "Setup Meagre.bat" file will automatically setup MEAGRE to run from your current directory. The front-end however does require knowledge of what directory it is sitting in.

The eXoDos collection can be run from any directory, as all launch files are designed to use relative paths to each other. Many identified freeware and shareware games have been identified and will be added to the next release. This collection primarily focuses on commercially released titles and freeware titles released during the DOS era. A one time setup is required by the front end. A games list from the Complete DOS Collection project has been used to identify games as well.Īll games have been pre-setup and are immediately playable, no configuration required. The games included were primarily identified by scanning the MobyGames archives, although other abandonware resources were also used.

This includes platformers, FPS, shmups, brawlers, versus fighters, arcade, and any other reflex based game. This pack includes 1361 DOS games which are in some form or another part of the above genre. This fifth, and final, volume focuses on Action games. I have chosen to split up the collection by genre.

Dosbox is included in the torrent and has been setup to run all included titles with no prior knowledge or experience required on the users part. This collection relies on Dosbox to play these older titles on modern systems.

I strive to find original media rather than using scene rips.

Jeff Lundrigan of NextGen called the PC version "A pinball lover's dream. Enjoy an unrivaled pro-pinball graphics engine and superior ball dynamics in what is claimed to be the fastest, most addictive and challenging pinball sim in the world. One IGN author wrote of his experience playing the same console version: "I've had more fun watching my dog clean herself." The same author also commented that its pinball simulation was superior, with physics, movement, and design that very closely replicated those of an actual pinball table. Most reviewers rated the same console version poorly in terms of gameplay substance and originality, but gave high ratings to its graphic properties, physics engine, and overall very good pinball simulation. The PlayStation version of Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey received "mixed" reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. Levels of the game include tunneling to the earth's core, navigating to the bottom of an ocean, traveling to a fictional island setting, and flying through mountainous terrain. There are five adventures in the game, each requiring the user to trigger certain elements of the board to keep the game moving forward. Game options allow the table to play as if it were in an aged condition and at a slight angle, and players are also given the option to change the number of extra balls they receive, how many times a ball can be saved, as well as adjusting the table slope, plunger power, and general game difficulty. The pinball flipper and plunger controls are operated by joystick, gamepad, or keyboard, depending on the operating system. The player's perspective of the pinball table in Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey is from approximately one foot or 30 cm above the table.
